Waves & Resonancies explores periodic and oscillatory behaviour and the propagation of energy across both physical and perceptual space. The works reference the movement and dispersion of physical waves – including light, water and sound – and are executed entirely using RGB colour pigments. I chose these three colours because they relate to the additive colour model that governs digital display systems, while also intersecting with the logic of print-based image production. Through layered, analogue mark-making, the drawings connect physical wave behaviour with modes of visual representation. They operate as tactile interpretations of phenomena typically mediated through sensors, screens and computational models, reintroducing materiality, duration and uncertainty into systems usually associated with precision and control.
