Velocity Analysis

Velocity Analysis introduces ideas of movement, acceleration and dissipation. Here, gesture is treated as a kinematic event, and the surface becomes a field where energy is transferred rather than simply drawn. Ink is often splashed, hurled or flicked across the surface, or carried by the sweeping motion of a whip-like tool that captures momentum. The resulting arcs, bursts and dispersions suggest motion paths or speed patterns. While the drawings recall simplified velocity graphs, they remain grounded in physical action and embodied force rather than calculation or data.
